This past week Brandt and I got the pleasure to visit an always talked about restaurant on Palm Beach Island, called Palm Beach Grill.  Palm Beach Grill is part of the Hillstone Restaurant group, which is most known for their restaurant named Houston's.  We arrived a little after 7pm on Thursday and the restaurant was slammed!  Expecting not as busy of a crowd on a Thursday night, oh wait..I am on Palm Beach Island, no working class here...Just living the Florida life here! Always happy to see a busy restaurant no matter what day of the week it is.

We had a 7:45 reservation, but wanted to get there early to enjoy a drink at the bar.  I started with the Le Francais martini while we waited for our table. It consisted of Grey Goose Vodka, Cointreau, Chambord, and Pineapple Juice.  It was fruity, but a little sweeter then I anticipated.

Once seated we wanted to pop open a bottle of wine to enjoy our Thursday night among all the Palm Beachers who may or may not know what day of the week it is.  We had brought our own bottle of wine and guess what???  No corkage fee!  Super excited about this as well as I will always take advantage of a good corkage fee deal! We brought a bottle of Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon..Delish!

For appetizer we started with one of their specialties, grilled artichokes.  They were lightly seasoned with olive oil, garlic and parsley.   If you like artichokes, I would highly recommend.

Next we tried the Heirloom Tomato salad with blue cheese, basil, and a champagne vinaigrette. I LOVE LOVE tomatoes, so this salad was right up my ally.  Again, if you are a tomato lover then this salad is for you.  This dish is fairly simple, but it truly showcases the flavors of the tomato.

Before we were served our main course, they give you a hot towel to cleanse your hands.  Always a classy, nice touch.

For my main course, I had the Grilled Florida Snapper with crispy rock shrimp and a lemon butter sauce.  I chose the sauteed spinach and roasted beets as my sides.  My dish was absolutely delicious.  The snapper was light and tasty and the crisp from the shrimp was a nice complement.  If you love beets (I love them and I never make them at home because Brandt is not a Beet lover) then you will love these.  Again, they take many simple ingredients and really let the food be the star.  Palm Beach Grill does not over sauce or season any of the dishes they prepare.  Which really shows you how fresh everything is!  I would order this exact dish again.

Our friend Diana had the Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon with wild rice salad and coleslaw.  Again, very fresh and tasty.

Brandt chose the Double Cut Pork Chop with mashed potatoes and corn.  The pork chop was gigantic and cooked to perfection.

For Dessert, Palm Beach Grill gives you complementary cookies to end your evening.  How nice!  Tonight's feature was snicker-doodles.  We also ordered a hot fudge sundae with Sloan's vanilla ice cream and hot fudge that you get to pour on yourself.  I would recommend to all!

I had a great time at Palm Beach Grill.  The atmosphere was lively, the bar was active, the food was tasty and the service was on point.  This American restaurant is a great place to take friends and family.  If you want to go during prime time, make sure you make reservations about 3 weeks in advance.  Our friends Diana and Cory said 5:30pm and 9pm always seem to be reservations are highly recommended!

Take advantage of the zero dollar corkage fee and go ahead a splurge on two hot fudge sundae's!
