KE'E GRILL - Juno Beach, FL

If you are a fan of Jetty's and Cool'a Fish Bar, then Ke'e Grill is a must.   I have been meaning to try Ke'e Grill for quite some time now.  I honestly have never heard one bad comment about the restaurant.  Located on the corner of Donald Ross and U.S. 1, I was unsure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised as I walked into a tropical oasis.  With large windows around the entire building and exotic trees planted right outside; the atmosphere is quite pleasant.  The inside is decorated tastefully with giant umbrellas, bamboo decor and sport fish hung among the walls.  A great place to enjoy a drink while waiting for your table.

Thankfully, I had made reservations in advance because the restaurant was slammed and the bar was filled with people waiting for their table.  We sat down right away and was greeted by our pleasant server.
I ordered a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc and my brother-in-law, Wade enjoyed a Rum Runner.  Brandt's family is from Tallahassee where a tropical ambiance is rare, so dining at Ke'e Grill got Wade in the mood for an exotic drink.
The Rum Runner was full of flavor, too many flavors for my liking.  I am glad I just stuck to my wine.

We ordered a few appetizers for the table.  The Sesame Seared Sashimi Tuna and the Papaya, Roasted Garlic, Sweet Chili Shrimp.  The sesame seared tuna was fresh and cooked perfectly.  It was drizzled with a wasabi that gave the tuna the perfect amount of "Zing."  The shrimp is perfect for the person who is always craving a little sweet and spicy in their life. (sorry for the blurred shrimp, I was in a rush to try)

For the entree, Brandt ordered the Baked Blue Crab Cakes.  They were delicious.  The crab cakes were large and they were topped with cheese stuffing.  Delicious and probably what I would order next time we visited.

Wade had the Sweet Potato Crusted Fish, which was nicely cooked.  Crunchy on the outside and light and flacky on the inside.  The mushroom side and the creamed spinach (they call Spinach Maria) were my favorite two sides.

I had a special for the night, ( not pictured) grilled grouper with lobster meat on top.  I was disappointing as I found my grouper bland and the amount of lobster was so minimal you could not even tell if it really was lobster.
My Father in Law had their well known Lamb Chops.  It was a great sized portion and was full of flavor.

As for Desserts, please don't judge.  We had to try four different ones because we all could not decide what we wanted.
My favorite was the warm apple crisp served with vanilla ice cream

We also tried the Key Lime Pie, Pound Cake with Strawberrys and their Chocolate Cake.  All three of these were good, they were simple, but not my favorite.

Ke'e Grill has a menu that will please everyone.  The food was overall flavorful and yummy.  It has quite the older crowd especially with their early bird specials from 5-6pm during the summer.  Take your family and friends for a nice evening out at a reasonable price to Ke'e Grill.
