When we have guests in town, Leftovers Cafe comes to mind.  The cozy atmosphere, their famous sweet potato crusted fish, and the fun I have at this restaurant wants me always coming back for more.  Its a place I want to share with others!  Leftovers is one of the reasons why I love blogging about local restaurants.  It is truly unique and always slammed! It has a "homey" feel and the tables are tight, so you can easily start up a conversation with your neighbor.  I saw an entree that sparked my interest, so I asked the nice lady next to me about it.  By the end of the conversation I took my spoon and was trying her dish!  Can't get more friendly then that!
Leftovers has a sister restaurant that actually opened first which is named "FoodShack".  FoodShack is also located in Jupiter and has a slightly different menu, but similar.  Looking forward to trying it soon.

Pretty much every time we go to Leftovers there is a wait.  So where do we wait?  The bar of course.  Leftover's has a wide selection of local beers including some from the Tequesta Brewing Company and an assortment of unique bottled brews!  I always find it fun to try something new!

Once seated, we reviewed the specials, which can be easily mistaken for the actual menu. It is so long and lengthy.  This menu will tell you about the different fish they are preparing for the night and the different ways to crust the fish.  Leftovers is most famous for their Sweet Potato Crust, which is always on the menu.  They usually have a few others to choose from, such as parmasian garlic.  Anything you choose is great!

We started with one of their signature appetizers.  Fried Tuna and Basil Roll.  Served hot and melts in your mouth.  I you are sushi lovers like us, you will enjoy.

Brandt ordered the Sweet Potato Crusted Grouper!  Large portion and very fresh and tasty!

Mike had the Grown Up Macaroni and Cheese. The Mac and Cheese is creamy and served with chicken, onion and sriracha sauce.  I would order again in a heart beat.  If you are a mac and cheese lover, this one is for you!

After tasting the lady's dish next to me, I actually ordered it myself. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with shrimp, calamari, fish, mussels, artichokes, eggplant, and olives, in a roasted tomato broth. It was yummy.  I asked for some rice on the side and added to the bowl.  I thought it tasted better that way since it made it heartier.

Kelli ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich with brie and served with fried plantains.  The plantains were soo good we had to order more!

So many great things on the menu that I want to go back to keep trying new things.  Everything sounds unique and delicious.  This is one of my favorite spots and the portions are large, so you could easily share to help with the cost. I didn't finish meal, so I had Leftovers leftovers the next day and I was not disappointed!
